Sustaining Relationships
Relationships - particularly between employers and schools, colleges or universities - are often unsustainable because they have not been developed around shared values and a measurable win-win proposition. So employers and learners become disappointed.
Different stakeholders may define success in different ways. There may be different expectations as to outcomes and responsibilities, even different modes, times and language of communication.
Success often involves some form of knowledge transfer. Learning projects provide a low-risk 'live' context in which to experiment or test out new ideas, to facilitate that transfer of knowledge and accredit the new learning.
By identifying the links with potential value, stakeholders can design performance indicators and drive collaboration.
