Intergenerational Learning
A group from a school in Berwick, Northumberland, organised a formal meal one evening between young people and local veterans. Perception of young people in the area was at an all time low following a series of negative reports in the local media. The young people took it upon themselves to build bridges, ease tensions and carry out some intergenerational work. The event brought together two sections of the community that otherwise wouldn't mix, and allowed them to learn valuable lessons from each other.
