Our Approach

Creating a sustainable future requires new kinds of thinking and relating. It requires us to design rich connections and innovate across organisations and communities.

Crucially, this applies as much to existing employees as to future ones.

We come to understand financial, environmental and social benefits and learn to measure performance against the so-called five capitals: financial, physical, human, natural and social. We are always challenging our assumptions as we try to adapt to the changing world around us.

Designing & managing Learning Projects

Accredited project-based learning brings together students and employees around their communities:

  • Young people are mentored by older students and adults.
  • Group processes develop soft skills, including emotional intelligence and eco-literacy.
  • Learning projects raise funds, cut costs and test or showcase new ideas or technologies.

Doorways into a complex world

We identify eight 'doorways' or perspectives through which organisations may choose to engage strategically in sustainable activities.

Organisations will enter from different places, according to their priorities and needs. But all doorways ultimately lead to the same place - a sustainable future.
